Wall

Out of Hexham and a couple of miles up the A6079 road towards Chollerford, and the famous Chesters Bridge Abutment, is the Hadrian Hotel at Wall. This is a splendid pitstop, with excellent real ales and good cooking. You can link up with the route just beyond Chollerford and Walwick.

Accommodation
Hadrian Hotel, Wall, Hexham, NE46 4EE.

Comfortable and cosy without being remotely stuffy. As a guest you can hunker down in front of the fire or go and have a beer in the lively public bar. The food is well executed and reasonably priced and the rooms are very comfortable without being expensive. A class operation at an affordable price.
